André Lascaris (Amsterdam 1939) is a Dominican. He received his Ph D at Oxford University and lectured in Pretoria (SA), Amsterdam and Nijmegen. He was editor of a theological weekly, fulfilled several administrative functions in his Order, and was involved in peace work for Northern Ireland from 1973 till1992. He published numerous articles and books on conflict, violence, forgiveness and reconciliation. He is a member of the staff of the Dominican Study Centre for Theology and Society since its foundation in 1988.
